Campaign Blog: Reflecting on an Exciting Start – Join the Movement!

 

It's been an incredible first fortnight!

 

The energy and support from the community passionate to  help make sure an Independent voice is representing the communities of Maitland and Port Stephens in the federal seat of Paterson has been bigger than expected.

 

Community members are tired of the major parties taking voters for granted and rolling out the same election promises on the eve of an election.

 

Our message is already making waves, with coverage in the Newcastle Herald and Hunter NBN Nine News highlighting Mayor Philip Penfold's exciting entry into the race.

 

These articles show how significant this campaign is, and it’s clear that people across the region have a third viable option to the tired and regimented major parties. 

 

People are paying attention to viable alternatives at this election.

In the coming weeks we will continue to listen what matter most to our community. We know people want improved local infrastructure to meet our region's growth, action on cost-of-living pressure and improved local health services. But this is just the beginning!

 

We need every single one of you to help us continue building momentum, knocking on doors, sharing our message online, and getting the word out to every corner of the electorate.
