Who is Philip Penfold?

Philip Penfold has served our region as an elected representative for over 16 years, and is a current Mayor. He serves on the board of Hunter Joint Organisation, and Regional Cities NSW. 

 

Philip is a proud local. He was born, raised and educated in the Paterson electorate. 

 

Philip has served our community as a long-standing Justice of the Peace and charity volunteer. He has worked as a Bank Manager and a self-employed small business owner servicing the Port Stephens and Maitland areas. 

 

Philip Penfold brings a wealth of experience in community leadership, reflecting the values cherished by the community. As Mayor, he has proudly overseen record upgrades to local infrastructure. These facilities benefit residents across our region. 

 

Philip is a former national martial arts champion and spent many years as a local instructor where he mentored and inspired generations of locals.

He is an eager contributor to his community and an advocate for causes such as housing and support for vulnerable individuals and families in crisis. 

 

His priorities include lowering household costs, providing the roads and community infrastructure needed, and making communities safer.

 

Philip has a vision for the communities of Port Stephens, Maitland and surrounds that can only be delivered with a strong independent voice speaking for you in parliament.
