With no allegiance to party politics, Philip is committed to putting the needs of Paterson residents first—focusing on transparency, accountability, and practical solutions for the issues that matter most to you.

 

Grassroots Funding Commitment

Our campaign is proudly funded by rank-and-file grassroots supporters. We do not accept donations from prohibited donors, such as property developers or other groups banned under NSW electoral laws, even though these restrictions do not apply to federal campaigns. This is a matter of principle—we believe in keeping the influence of big money out of politics.

Donation Information
As part of our commitment to transparency, we want to make sure you understand the rules around donations:

• You must warrant that you are not a foreign donor, as defined under Australian law, when making a contribution. Foreign donations over $100 are not permitted.

• Commonwealth electoral laws do not cap political donations. However, if your donation exceeds $16,900 in the 2024/2025 financial year (either as a single donation or combined smaller donations), it will need to be disclosed to the Australian Electoral Commission. We’ll notify you if this applies and assist you with the simple donor disclosure form required after the election.

• Donations to Philip Penfold are tax-deductible for individuals (up to $1,500 per financial year).
